In MCT-treated rats, PQQ treatment (both preventive and curative) significantly attenuated the increase in right ventricle pressure and hypertrophy, reduced endothelial dysfunction and pulmonary artery remodeling, prevented cardiac fibrosis, improved cardiac functions, and reduced inflammation.
