312 published papers, explained in plain English

Every entry below is a real, peer-reviewed paper with a PubMed ID. For each one we set out the question it asked, how it was done, what it actually found, what the authors concluded, and what they said the limits were — then link the compound or intervention to the evidence-graded pages that cite it.

What this library is

Magellan grades every product on the strength of the research behind it — Strong, Moderate, Emerging, Preliminary, or Measurement tool. This library is the layer underneath those grades: the individual papers, one page each, written so a non-specialist can follow the argument without a journal subscription.

Each summary is deliberately boring in the right way. It keeps the authors’ hedging. It keeps the no-effect and negative results — a trial that found nothing is as informative as one that found something, and the pages that quietly drop those are the ones you should not trust. Where an abstract does not state its limitations, we say exactly that instead of inventing a caveat. Where our database holds a short evidence label rather than the paper’s own title, we label it as ours and send you to PubMed for the authoritative record.

What a summary is not: it is not the paper, and it is not medical advice. Every page carries the PMID and, where we have it, the DOI, with outbound links to PubMed and doi.org so you can read the source and check us.

How to use it

Looking up a specific paper? Use the A–Z index or the by-year index — every page shows the PMID prominently and each has a permalink and a copy-ready APA and BibTeX citation.

Researching a compound? Start from the topic sections, or jump to a monograph: NMN, urolithin A, spermidine, resveratrol, creatine, sulforaphane, omega-3, berberine or senolytics.

Want the map rather than the trees? The research map and the pathway universe show how these papers connect, and the supplement guide shows which products the evidence supports.

Educational information, not medical advice. This is a plain-English summary of published research; it is not a treatment recommendation and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual studies can be wrong, and a single paper rarely settles a question. Talk to your physician before acting on any research, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medication.
